The shareholders
Continentale Krankenversicherung and INTER Krankenversicherung

INTERLUX is a joint undertaking of Continentale Krankenversicherung a.G. and INTER Krankenversicherung a.G. Both undertakings belong to insurance associations.

The Continentale association, with managerial headquarters in Dortmund, Munich and Cologne, consists of eight insurance companies and one capital investment company. It offers private customers all insurance and capital-investment options from one source. Some 3,000 office-based staff and 8,000 sales partners work for the association.

At the head of the association are two mutual insurance organizations: Continentale Krankenversicherung and Continentale Lebensversicherung. Both organizations have been around for over 75 years. With several decades of experience, the partners can devise insurance concepts attuned to the individual needs of customers, with experience and modernity not excluded - as our innovative products show.

Mannheim-based Inter Versicherungen sees itself as an expert and efficient provider of innovative insurance and financial products. Based in the Rhine-Neckar region since the 1920s, the company has become one of Germany’s leading financial groups.

The Inter Versicherungen group includes Inter Krankenversicherungen aG, one of the major providers in Germany, Inter Lebensversicherung aG, and Inter Allgemeine Versicherung aG, which offers accident, property and liability insurance. Also part of the Inter group are the jointly-managed Freie Arzt- und Medizinkasse WaG (FAMK), Frankfurt, a profession-linked private health insurer mainly focused on the target groups of the police and fire services, and the Bausparkasse Mainz AG (BKM), a leading construction-finance company and also Germany’s only building society with its own company programme.

With the experience of some 2,750 staff in both office and sales positions, the Inter group can offer its target groups individualized insurance cover. This is evident in the large number of specific specialized products.
