IKTA Tariff for Employers

This tariff (Part II of the General Terms and Conditions of Insurance) is only valid in connection with Part I – General Provisions for Insurance against Loss of Working Hours.

1. Eligibility for insurance

a) Policy holders may be any employers running a business in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and are liable to continue to pay wages or salary to the insured person for the duration of incapacity to work (§ 1 Part I subsection 3).
b) All employees who are liable for wage or income tax who have not yet reached the age of 65 and who are in an employment relationship with a claim against the policy holder for continued payment of wages or salary for the duration of incapacity to work are eligible for insurance. Eligibility for acceptance ends upon the admission age of 60.

2. Payments from the insurer

In the event of incapacity to work of an insured person in accordance with § 1 Part I of the General Terms and Conditions of Insurance, the Daily Sickness Benefit will be paid in the contractually agreed amount from the 8th day of incapacity to work for the duration of that person’s entitlement to continued payment of wages or salary, but for a maximum period up to the end of the 4th month of incapacity to work. The daily sickness benefit will be paid to the policy holder.

3. Payments by the Policy Holder

Monthly premium instalment in EUR per 10 EUR of daily sickness benefit Statutory insurance tax is not included in the premiums and will be levied separately.
